Face the Bjorka Hackers, Palace Form a Special Team


KUNINGANPOST.COM | JAKARTA – President Joko Widodo formed a special team following a number of cyber attacks from Bjorka hackers to government agencies. The team was formed after the government held a meeting at the Jakarta Presidential Palace.

The team will follow up on cyber attacks received recently.

"There needs to be an emergency response team related to maintaining good data, data management in Indonesia and to maintain public trust," said Minister of Communications and Information Jhonny G Plate at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Monday (12/9).

Jhonny said the team would consist of the National Cyber ​​and Crypto Agency (BSSN), Kominfo, Polri, and the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).

He did not explain when the team would start working. Jhonny did not answer when asked about the duties and functions of the team.

Jhonny also chose to leave the reporters when the questions rained. Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD also chose to leave the interview location.

Previously, a hacker named Bjorka attacked a number of government sites. He posts data breaking into a number of government websites on the internet.

One of the data leaks that shocked the public was related to President Jokowi's letters. Bjorka claims to have pocketed letters from BIN to Jokowi in recent years. However, the claim was denied by BIN.
